Leviathan is a big word for whale, or giant sea creature, a fitting title for a record of songs about the things that are bigger than us, love, loss, history and the ocean. Deblois is an acoustic musician based in Miami Florida. From 2001 to 2005 she lived in a small coastal town in Costa Rica wood-shedding and honing her craft of original music. Many of the songs on Leviathan, her debut album, come from this period in her life and reflect the ocean and the waves. While in Costa Rica she organized and ran a surf school called Sweetwater, teaching beginners how to surf and spending her evenings singing in the local cantinas. Now back in South Florida she has a band that includes drums, bass and saxaphone. The folks who like to listen to her have alot to say about this talented and dynamic performer:
"Deblois sounds like a female Jack Johnson, rythmic and touching."
"Who is this girl? she gives me goose bumps and with every song I feel like she's talking about me!"

If you like acoustic music, dig lyrics that sucessfully walk the line between touching and scalding, and enjoy a husky female vocalist then you will want to check this out!
