CHRIS SCHOEN: Heraclitus
Player of guitars and sometimes banjoes (people keep giving him banjos) and sometimes harmonicas, and maker of sounds and songs and rhymes. Since 1998 player and composer of theatrical music in Chicago, with Theater Oobleck, The Magpies, and Teatro Circo Moderno, most recently as bandleader for Theater Oobleck's Natural History, a 3D cantestoria based on the work of that name by Pliny the Elder. (For the 2006 mounting of this show, Chris wrote and sang special on-the-fly English translations, based on the original songs by Sebastian Paz.) Heraclitus aggregates songs written from 1998-2005, some at the very last second. There are more to come, more to come.
