TONY LEE AND UNITY: Accept My Praise
Founded in 1994, [by Tony Lee] Tony Lee & Unity has rapidly become one of Cleveland's finest and most sought after choirs. As a ministering singing organization, this group of young people is geared toward upgrading the performance quality and music administration of its community.
Tony Lee & Unity's main goal is to praise God through song perpetually and preserve gospel music as an art form. The group is designed to give generation after generation a more spiritual perspective of gospel music.
Audiences have been left spellbound by the uniqueness of this choir and it's refreshing style of singing. They have been blessed with quality vocalists and talented song writers. All the songs they use is original material.
While not just a choir, they have used their ministry as an outreach vehicle to visit places like the Juvenile Detention Center in Cleveland, Oh. once a month and also the Ohio Boys Town.
Tony Lee & Unity have been blessed to open for or perform with some of the top performers in the gospel music industry such as Kirk Franklin and the Family, Fred Hammond & Radical for Christ Jesus Choir, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Eld. Andrew Butts & The Northeast Ohio Mass Choir, Pastor Rance Allen and Ricky Dilliard. They've been seen on the Bobby Jones Gospel hour as well as opened for the theatrical plays "My Grandmother prayed for Me" and "Why Do I Keep Choosing The Wrong Man". Included in this list of achievements is a featured spot and lead role in the theatrical Gospel play "The Lord Will Make A Way". The has also been awarded the "New Artist" of the year award during the 2004 Erie Gospel Music Awards.
Their travel has taken them to places such as Chicago Ill, Detroit Michigan, Wheeling WV., Nashville TN, Atlanta GA, West Palm Beach FL, Tampa FL, Youngstown Oh, Akron Oh, Ashtubula Oh, Elyria Oh, Erie PA and many others. They also ministered during Cleveland Ohio's Bicentennial Celebration which was one of the largest events that the city has ever held.
After great success with their first two Cds "All The Way", and "Be An X'ample", Tony Lee & Unity are set to release a brand new CD entitled "Accept My Praise" in September 2004. Their ministry is a powerful one and they want it to be heard not only in the Cleveland area but around the country as they deliver the message that Jesus Saves to the utmost.
