JT3: In The Moment
If I had only one wish within the music, it would be the hope of creating a larger jazz audience.
To me, Jazz has always represented the most spiritual form of musical art.
Jazz can only exist "In The Moment".
A performer opens his soul crossing that timeless space inspired by melody, harmony, and rhythmn.
Each note played aspires to create a bridge to the listener, who's quest for musical adventure would have the rendition enliven the senses, painting mental pictures of that time frame.
When the efforts of the performer achieves this connection with the listener, that marriage between the two is momentary, existing in a personal dimension.
That's when it all comes together, that's hip... at least to me.
I believe there are two things that bring and add value to life... they are creativity and love.
We are are all artists accomplishing creativity and love in our lives... making "snapshots" of our in the moment experiences.
No matter the medium or perspective, our interpretations of life are expressions from which we learn by sharing... enriching each other's lives.
The gifts of art that we receive daily are truly blessings from someone's "in the moment" experience.
In this recording Dallas, John, and I would like to extend our moments from two Sunday afternoon sessions in May of 2001.
Whatever moment you are in, we hope to connect with you and share our Jazz renditions.
We hope you enjoy them over and over again.
