MARK MCADAM: Boy Wonder
Mark McAdam is a songwriter and musician from the other side of the musical tracks. He lives in a roomful of second-hand instruments on Manhattan’s Lower East Side where he eats and sleeps. McAdam used to front the seminal Los Angeles junk rock band Sumack before setting out on his own with this debut, Boy Wonder, in 2003. His next record, Cavalcade, is out now, available here and through March Records. Songs from Boy Wonder have found their way into several films and television shows including “Grey’s Anatomy†and “Malcolm in the Middle.†It includes contributions from Pete McNeal (Cake, Mike Doughty’s Band, Inara George), Dermont Mulroney (Low & Sweet Orchestra, Cranky George Trio, (and all-around genre-straddling heartthob)), and Charles Goodan (Dust Brothers).
