SOUND OF SINGLES: Dead Dog on the Road
Sound of Singles is the solo project of Gerald John, steel guitarist of Chapel Hill, NC’s slow-core-southern-love droner’s Mount Moriah."Dead Dog on the Road" was recorded with members of Mount Moriah in between sessions for their forth-coming sophomore release on Cold Heaven
"Dead Dog" combine’s echoing layers of electric and steel guitar with songs of desperation and longing with a nod to 70’s outlaw country.
Gerald previously recorded Industrial music under the name Liquid Desires, during the late 80s, played guitar and oud in a Wisconsin folk group called the Bog People, and spent much of the 90's playing and building French bagpipes.
Sound of Singles is currently working on a full length titled "San Juan to Mayaguez," which will be more acoustic driven, as well as a possible Bob Seger tribute CD.
