Based in Tampa, FL, R50 is a well-schooled, high-energy rock outfit with memorable melodies, rawk-star riffs and hooks that keep you coming back for more. Compared to the likes of Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls and Cheap Trick, R50 is quickly establishing itself as 'a force to be reckoned with' in the wake of their debut CD entitled "Rosco," and their follow up CD "The Golden Highs."
R50 was formed in late 2001 by singer/songwriter Geoff Abraham on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, and backed up by Finn Walling on lead guitar/vocals, Aaron Akers on bass and Drew Thompson on Drums. Where are they from? How did they all come together? You won't care and the past won't matter the minute you hear a CD or are lucky enough to see them live. As they say, the proof is in the pudding...and these guys can cook like a motherf*&^$%.
R50 is currently writing and recording music for their 3rd release scheduled for availability in fall 2003.
