CD liner notes:

this CD contains a selection of recovered rough-mixes from the 1999/2000 album "naturally stoned" which has been unreleased up to this date. Signorino TJ spent half a year entrenched in the famous Powerplay Recording Studios near Zurich, Switzerland with the idea of making an analog sounding record. after a few days the studio looked like a true retro playground with several Studer Tape Machines, three Moog synthesizers, a Hammond B-3 Organ, a Melotrone, a Clavinet, two Rhodes, a Wurlizer, a Waldorf Wave, a Synsnare, a Gibson J-200, a Fender Jazzmaster '63, tons of other stringed instruments and lots more spread across the recording room. and inbetween stood a slim boy with heavily oversized slippers and a grin on his face.

the original sessions included 18 different songs by this swiss artist and featured guest performances by Graham Harvey (keys), Gesa Geiser (tp, flh, tb), Fabian Kuratli (dr), Wolf Zwiauer (b), Mark Egan (b), Danny Gottlieb (dr), Till Grünewald (ts, ss, as), Jon Otis (perc), Christian Lohr (keys), Hendrix Ackle (keys), Reggie Johnson (b), Daniel Küffer (ts), Stefania Verita (viola), Martin Tillmann (cello), Simon B (dr), Philipp Henzi (p), Axel Fischbacher (g) and others. tracks 01, 07 & 08 are special one-man band performances by Signorino TJ originally produced as a demo. while staying in zurich for half a year to do these recordings, several live sessions took place in the studio and around town. the bonus track features one of these jams with Vince Abt (p) Lenz Beyeler (b) & Ben Loosli (dr) recorded on a night off.

as we know life doesn't always follow a straight line, and unfortunately this album has never been finished nor been properly mixed and ended up collecting dust on a shelf. maybe songs like "Whisky Cola", "Fresh Water" or "Too Much Talkin" will stay unheard forever. maybe one day someone
will go through all the trouble of trying to relocate and sync these tapes and finish the album. and maybe this project was just meant to be a script, a fading page in the musical diary of an artist's youth.
